How to turn on tv

Hello, try holding the power button for 5 seconds and see if it will come on, otherwise try a universal remote programmed to a mitsubishi tv. If it still won't come on it might have a problem in the power supply....tks

Why wont this model stay powered on

I spent 4hr this morning trying to fix my Samsung t.v. I replaced the bulb, cleaned entire insides of t.v., checked if both fans were running, yes, checked for any corrosion or disconnects on boards/wires the best I could, I read several internet sites an kept checking what was suggested, then I found this one, I disconnected the blue & white sensor wire from top connector(right above the bulb casing). I put one end of a piece of wire in each of the holes -2 holes, it didn't work.. I tried several times...I took my piece of wire out and plugged it back into the sensor, then I unplugged the blue and white from bottom connector, this had 3 holes.. I separated one side of my 1 piece of wire (rope type) into 3 and inserted (snugly) into coupling and my tv is now working fine. I had to try this a couple times and discovered that I didn't have my wire pushed in snuggly. I will replace temp sensor, still need to figure out if I need to replace top or bottom panel, I'm guessing the bottom panel ?????? The standby light and bulb light are both off now, yay. I have a large Samsung t.v. I think 52" that I purchased from Circuit City around 5 yrs ago, model # Hl85086W. The problem I was having; Standby Light was on when I'd turn the t.v. on, would hear a low Beeping Noise from back of tv, the Lamp Light would come on I could hear the t.v. would try to turn on and in seconds the t.v. would just Shut Off, Both Lights would stay on, I'd unplug and plug back in and try again and get the exact same thing, Both Lights would come on/ stay on, t.v. would try to turn on and Automatically Shut Off. Thank you krimi !!!, for taking the time a year ago to post this. Very Grateful! Robin from Indiana I hope this helps someone else.

Shuts off itself

I presume when you say it shuts itself off you mean it doesn`t actually come on, It goes to Standby, (Red light). If this is the case, It will probably be the power supply being turned off (Protection mode) by the microprocessor. Have you fitted extension loudspeakers with bad or loose connections? This was a common fault where customers made a bad job of connecting external speakers. I had this once with one set where the customer had a parrot which bit through the cable to the surround sound speakers. Try disconnecting all external connections first, If this doesn`t work, you have fitted speakers and there were taped joints in your wiring, you may have damaged the sound output chip. Other than that, you need an engineer. All modern electronic equipment including TV`s have an inbuilt safety feature to prevent the set from setting fire. It does this by having the computer which controls all the various functions (Including standby) permanently monitor all the voltages within the set. If a voltage is or goes low, possibly indicating a short circuit, the micro detects this and puts the set into standby. Some sets cycle or keep repeating the process of trying to get the set on and then gives up after a certain amount of cycles if the fault does not clear. A good example of this is when there is a very bright screen, the micro could shut the set off thinking the power supply is getting low. Basically what I`m saying is, it`s a workshop job with engineer if non of the fore-mentioned faults exists. Ian

Your TV is out of focus. It is difficult to mention the whole procedure of fixing of blurred picture in VS-60707. It is a very long procedure & requires some instruments for adjustment. To make it easy for you please visit the following link & download 11 files. Although you see the download for VS-45607, the service manual is also for VS-60707. http://www.eserviceinfo.com/download.php?fileid=32177
First three files are archived in .rar format & rest are schematic diagrams in pdf formats. After extracting files from the first three files go to page no. 35 & adjust the focus accordingly

TV click on and off.When

The green crt is dawning to much current, and that is why the TV is shutting down, if you remove the speaker cover, there is a focus block, that has six controls, on it three are for red blue, and green screen voltages, if you turn green down where the retrace lines go away, the TV should stay on, it is not worth fixing, you would be better off getting a new LCD.

It will only go up to chanel 13 before the picture

the tuner is bad, the tuner is broken up into different bands and that is what is bad. You can put you tv on 3 or 4 and use a VCR, or a other device has a tuner that will save you money.

My Mitsubishi VS70707 70 turns

There are two things to look at; One is any sign of Glycol leaking, I can tell you what and how to look at that.

Also, do the self check this set should have (2000) model---when it turns off on its own press both menu and input buttons on front of set for longer than 5 seconds and release both.

Power light should blink two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it four more times.

A added thought would be it may be a bad solder connection somewhere in the set--chassis would have to come out to see.

1,2 error code is no error detected

I need to know if you find a error code and what it is.

If all this information has told you something you do not know rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.
