Most likely on that model the belt from the motor to the mechanism is worn out or slipping. Usually those can be replaced at home. Refer to your User's Manual for the procedure. Any full service sewing machine center will usually have a replacement belt. Be prepared with your model number to find one. If you are unsure about replacing it yourself then try a dealer I am sure they can help.

My Shark 7133 slowed down while sewing and stopped. The handwheel won't turn at all. I cleaned the bobbin area but it still won't work. The light switches on and the machine motor reves up but...

Slacken the stop motion as if to wind a bobbin and press on the foot control, if the motor runs really fast then you have either thread stuck in the bobbin case area or you may need to oil the machine

Machine does not sew steady or fast...have to pump foot pedal

Machine is slowing down if it has to change the speed. So if design contains a lot of long stitches or not optimized it will be sewn slow. If your software is surely updated to the latest version and still machine is sewing slow then probably you need to optimize your design.

P.S. Software Live Update you can find under "Help" submenu.

Speed is too fast when i use the pedal . I need to slow it down when sewing scallops on a quilt.

Put the pedal backwards so you are pressing on the big open end of the pedal. It gives you greater control. Practice a couple of times first because it feels awkward,

Maybe the drive wheel is disengaged. Some machines have you pull out the wheel on the right to wind a bobbin and yours might be pulled out. Try pushing the wheel back in to engage the machine.

My necchi sewing machine stitches too fast

A lot of machines have a speed control, either on the machine or the foot control. I looked thru the manual and did not find anything about speed control. Look under the foot control for a screw that may have a + and - . Otherwise, you may want to take it back to see if service can adjust it for you.

Motor is sluggish, Necchi Model#4795

Set machine to wind the bobbin to check for how fast the machine will run. I believe it will run fast or slow according to how hard you depress the foot control. If it runs fast and slow you have a problem in the machine. Most likely the machine, if turned by hand, is hard to turn and it needs to be professionally serviced. before it is ruined.
