1.)I would recommended that you ensure all key fobs are fitted with new batteries. ( Click here to see battery replacement guide). 2.)Get in the car and close the drivers side door. 3.)Put the key into the ignition and turn to position I. 4.)Wait 5 seconds 5.)Turn the key quickly to position II then back to I four times. 6.)You should hear a single chime. 7.)Remove the Key 8.)For each Keyfob in rapid succesion. Press any single button on the keyfob you wish to pair, you should hear a chime as each Keyfob is paired with the security system. After the chime do the next Keyfob. 9.)Check operation of each Keyfob.
I think the sedan hood will fit the coupe, but you you should go to RealOEM.com and check the part number on the hood to make sure it is the same for both cars.

Hi , to check if you vehicle has an alarm installed open one of the windows , close the doors and remote lock the vehicle , wait for approx 15 seconds then wave your arm insid the car through the open window and see if the alarm sounds , even without the alarm , you car would be fitted with an imobilser as standard , regards mark
One day my Hyundai Coupe 2002 2.0 car alarm would not dis-arm. The remote was flashing but not turning the alarm off. I replaced the batteries and had the remote signal tested, but still the alarm would not dis-arm. There are no switches to flick off, no reset button and there was no way off cutting power to the alarm. The only solution was to take it to a Hyundai dealer ( with alarm siren sounding and lights flashing ) and have them disarm it. It took one guy almost 3 hours to disarm it, and cost me £150 ! I knew the guy at the garage, so that was with discount. The alarm is a joke and should not have been fitted in the first place by Hyundai!
