Sorry to disagree, but Husqvarna machines don't get "oiled". You will muck up the pre-set tensions and adjustments if you put oil anywhere in the machine. My suggestion would be to take it in to a serviceman. It sounds like it is overheating, hence shuts itself down. Any unusual noise needs attention by a technician.

it would be a good idea to have the machine checked to see what's causing the squeeking problem and what's causing the pedal to get hot.

How do I oil my Janome My Excel 18 w ? My machine has started to make a squeeking sound when sewing .I think it might need oiling but dont know where to put the oil?Can you please help me with this .

Take off all the outside covers you can, then basically put a drop of oil on anything that moves when you turn the machine over by hand. After this run the machine for a couple of minutes with no thread or fabric, you then need to wipe up any excess oil and refit all the covers.

Huskystar squeeks when sewing

They occasionally need oiling. You should have received a tube of oil when the machine was purchased. If you don't have any, try to find Tri Flow oil available at bicycle shops or Amazon.com. If you are unable to find it, you can use machine oil but not 3n1 oil. These are excellent machines and I still have mine. It may be well worth having it serviced at an authorized husqvarna viking dealer. You can locate a dealer near you by visiting the husqvarna viking website and clicking on the Dealer link on the left-hand side of the page - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com

Good luck.
