How far is "far away"? It's a compact camera---don't expect its small flash to light up a gymnasium or an auditorium. In fact, it won't light up the far end of a banquet table.

all new tvs should have a built in digital tuner. Make sure that tv is set to receive antenna signal and not cable by going into the menu. Use autoprogram feature if you haven't done so already. it will lock onto whatever signal is strong enough for it to see. Also if you are using an indoor antenna it may not be able to get enough signal to the box. Indoor antennas are not the greatest especially if the station is far away.
You're probably going to get blurry photos in such a dim environment no matter what you do. There are several things you can do to minimize the blur, however.
First, if you're sitting in the bleachers, forget about using your flash. You're too far away from the action for it to make any difference.
Raise the ISO as high as you can. It will add noise to the pics, but a noisy pic is probably better than a blurry pic.
Set the camera to aperture priority, then open up the lens as far as it will go (smallest f/number). This will force the camera to use the fastest shutter speed possible.
Use the fastest lens you have (of an appropriate focal length). One of the things that separate professional sports photographers from the rest of us is the speed of their glass. They have $2000 lenses for this purpose, while we probably spend less than that on our whole kit.
it is ur luck if camera still works in indoor pics then only take indoor pics but the pics are not crisp and clear they need to be there will be dis colored and scratchy but u can try see which are better i think pics without flash with adequate light will be better one's

shutter speed and f-stop depend on the light source and film speed. (iso )
the faster the film the less you have to use flash, the lower the f-stop the less depth of field you have, the kind of flash is important, most flash units are good for only around 20 ft.
i would use a high speed film and not use flash. flash will kill any colored lights. try to keep the f-stop at least f/8 and the shutter speed no less than 1/60 sec. have fun.
You're right that it's because it's darker indoors. You can compensate for this at least in part by raising the ISO. This runs the risk of increased noise, but given the choice between a noisy pic and no pic...
A fast lens may get you a stop or two, but they're expen$ive.
A third option is to increase the amount of light. Multiple flashes around the basket, for example. Or floodlights mounted on the roof...
Please check the details.. How was it taken? (esp the lighting.).. In low light, or in indoor shooting in evening, or using flash when the subject is a bit too far away can result in totally disappointing pics. Try outdoor when the lighting is proper with the correct settings... If you are not sure about the settings, put it in auto mode... This is not a bad camera. Just try it out...
One of the problems with digital reception is if the signal is not strong enough for the converter box/or built in tuner on a new TV- you will not get any picture at all. If you followed all the directions-and the converter box shows no channels- then you do need a better antenna. I don't know how far you are from the broadcast antenna, but a good rule of thumb is if you live 10 miles away, buy an antenna that is good for twice that distance, or further. They are rated in miles of reception
Hey Jewdeit, The built in flash on the K100D has guide # of 52 at iso 200 which does fine for close-up photography and as fill flash outdoors, but is not a powerful enough flash for shooting far away subjects indoors. What you probably should do is purchase an external shoe mounted flash such as the AF540FGZ which has a much higher guide number of 148 at iso 100. When shooting with flash if you are using aperture priority or full manual you can also try opening the aperture to let in more light that the flash put out, but doing this might over expose anything in the foreground.
