With multiple satellite dishes, you will get a lower signal strength on mulitple satellites as opposed to individual satellites. The reason being when pointed at one satellite, you are pointed directly at that satellite. With multiple satellites, you are pointed in the general direction of the multiple satellites so the signal will not be as strong compared to pointing directly at the individual satellite. Normally, a signal strength 50 or above is sufficient. I hope this helps.

You require a satelite decoder/receiver for your dish and an aerial for your TV.
The choice is yours. Plug a satelite receiver, for freesat, into the A/V input on the TV or have an aerial installed for freeview.

No signal when hooking up to dish network.

I unhooked the new tv and hooked up the old one to see what channel it was on and then rehooked up the new tv and put it on the same channel as the old one. This worked but I also had to put the cable into the hook up on the back marked cable instead of the one marked HDTV.
