Canon JX200 - Recomend New Cartridge

I've just replaced the PG40 cartridge in my Canon JX200 fax machine with a remanufactured cartridge. However the fax continues to display the "Recomend New Cartridge" warning. Is there any way to disable the ink monitor on this model to allow for using re-filled / remanufactured cartridges.

Cheers

No you can't disable the ink monitor, but it sounds like you have a defective or a cartridge that belongs to another machine.

Thank You,

Mikey

HAVE REPLACED CARTRIDGE STILLS SAYS RECOMMEND NEW CARTRIDGE

Canon use chipped cartridges, if you use a generic or a refilled one that uses the old chip (you have to move the chip yourself) then it will report it as empty, unless you re-set the chip with a chip re-setter that is made for those particular chips.

Hi there. This message on a Canon fax means that the ink is low. CRT stands for cartridge. Replace the FINE cartridge, as ink is low.
