A bios password cannot be reset.

    I did this by my self.After a 2 long long days and nights, I finaly solved that problem.Even after calling in IBM - they offerd my a new mother board.The old one is working.The password of BIOS is reset - that is posibble for all thinkCentre. Who need a help - call me 359889907922.Or mail me on dic AT vip.bg skype : dicthebig In BULGARIA have a smart MEN!

How to clear bios on m52 8215
Easiest way is to remove the battery. Count to 15. Plug the battery back in. It should bood with the default BIOS.

Hello,sorry my english is not good, i have a problem with my thinkcentre M52 . when i start the comp it writes enter system password.i press enter and it goes into the Bios,but i cant change anything into...
Someone has put a password on the BIOS - you must input it before entering the BIOS and the normal boot procedure. Because of the way IBM are build you can't reset the password by removing the battery, but only by performing a low level BIOS upgrade - which only a dealer can do. You will have to take it to one.
If you aren't the one that put that password and noone had access to it then the motherboard is dying - replace it before it's too late and all your data is lost.
