Removing or deleting Trusted Devices from the Micosoft account fixed the problem. There were incorrect and incompatible settings from a previous tablet that were disabling the keyboard. From a different computer, sign in to Microsoft account, Overview, Security, Trusted Devices, select the hotlink Remove all the Trusted Devices associated my account. Refresh Windows completely. All fixed.

You should try downloading KEYBOARD Driver. TouchPad refers to MOUSE.

Laptop touchpad not working

Dear John,

Although you did not mention your laptop model, Medion laptops use a combination of the 'Fn' key with one of the function keys on the top part of your keyboard to enable/disable the touchpad, that can be F3 or F6 or F8. So, try pressing the 'Fn' key and, while keeping it pressed, press also the F3 key and release them. Check if the touchpad now works. If it does not, try the same operation with 'Fn' plus the F6 keys or 'Fn with the F8 keys.

If none of these combinations works for you, maybe you will need to download and re-install the driver for your touchpad, from the Medion web site. go to www.medion.com site, select your country or region and then look for the drivers page for your laptop model. Select the driver for the touchpad offered there, download and install it in your machine.

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Medion notebook typing normally. getting numbers instead of letters

Examine your keyboard to ensure your "Number Lock" key is not activated.

This activation is indicated by the key being lit up.

If the key is activated, press it to deactivate the lock.

The number lock key will deactivate an entire segment of your keyboard

Start, click Run, and type regedit to open the Windows registry editor.

In the registry, open the below folders.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\
Control Panel\
Keyboard\

Within the keyboard folder, you should have a string value named "InitialKeyboardIndicators" with a value of 0, 1, or 2. Below is the explanation of each of these values.

0 = Num Lock is turned OFF after the logon.
1 = Disable Num Lock.
2 = Numlock is turned ON after the logon.

hope this helps

I have medion MD 96463 notebook, wireless touch button not working (on keyboard)how can ı solve.thanks

I assume you mean the touchpad that works like a mouse. If so....

From Desktop: right-click on "Computer" icon, then select "Properties". On next screen, select "Device Manager". On next screen, there should be a category titled "Mice and other Pointing Devices". Expand this category and right click on the touch pad, then choose "Uninstall" (don't worry, this won't remove it from the laptop, it only makes the laptop stop recognizing it).

Then, reboot your laptop. When you log back on, you'll see a message that says "new hardware found" and it will re-install the touchpad and all it's drivers. You should be good to go.

I need a replacement keyboard for Medion laptop model no: MAM2100. OR MD 96327.I spilled water on the keyboard, some keys work, some don't. Want to replace the keyboard but cant find one to match. I HAD TO...

Check first for a spare on Ebay, that will be cheaper than buying a new spare, but parts for this model are difficult to find.

For example here is a RAM2000 keyboard, contact Medion to find out if it is compatible:Cybercom MD42792 Medion Ram2000 Replacement Keyboard

If you do not find a compatible part, call medion, they can supply parts and tell you what parts are compatible:Medion.com

Try also Computer parts for MEDION

In US you can also contact Quanta that distributes medion parts internationally, they are locaed in US and ask part price and availability: Contact Us

My computer tayping rong words

Hi

Check the device status in the device manager.
Please check if the keyboard and touchpad are listed correctly without any yellow exclamation marks.

But you should try to reinstall the drivers again even though the keyboard and the touchpad were recognized properly.
In this case I would recommend removing the keyboard and the touchpad from the device manager and then you should reboot the notebook once again.

After Vista has rebooted the both devices should be recognized again and should work. To find the drivers try asking the online chat at toshiba for the driver if its not listed in the driver download page.

Presario v5000 laptop

First of all, check in the Device Manager if you find any yellow ! marks indicating that the drivers are not properly installed or corrupted.
If you find any entries, try reinstalling those drivers by right clicking on the entries with yellow ! mark and selecting Update Drivers.
Additionally, try reinstalling the drivers for the Keyboard and Touchpad from within the Device Manager by following the steps listed below :
Please follow the steps to go to Device Manager :

Right Click on My Computer and select Properties in the list.
Now go to Hardware tab and click on the Device Manager button.
Device Manager window opens in a seperate window.
Now click on the [+] mark next to Keyboards to expand the tree.
In the list that appears, right click on Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard and select Uninstall.
Now, restart the computer once the uninstallation is completed so that the default keyboard drivers will be automatically reinstalled.
Now, go back to the Device Manager and click on the [+] mark next to Mice and other pointing devices and if you find any entry with Synaptics Touchpad pointing device, right click on it and select Uninstall and restart the Notebook.
Now, download the Touchpad Drivers from the Notebook for XP from the link below :
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp34001-34500/sp34473.exe

Copy and paste the link in the address bar of a new internet explorer window and press Enter.
Save the file in My Documents or Desktop and double click the file once it is saved.
This will install the Touchpad drivers in the Notebook.
Now, try removing the USB keyboard and mouse to use the Keyboard and Touchpad of the Notebook.
If you are still unable to use the Keyboard and Touchpad of the Notebook, probably, there are internally damaged....need to get them checked by technicians.

Keyboard locked during bootup

My Acer aspire 3003 keyboard and touchpad both started to lock up recently. I use it with the battery removed, it avoids the problem. The battery wasn't holding much charge anyway.
