Hi, looks like you have a 21/2 ton Ruud split system by the numbers. Let me look this up and see if I can find a manual for this unit and send you a link to down load it. Give me sometime please. Be back soon.

    bestbuyheatingandairconditioning.com Hi, I have searched the Internet for both Ruud and Rheem units for a munual with not a lot of luck. I was able to come up with this link that may be of some help as they deal with both of these units and that model. You should be able to get some info from them or some direction on where to go.     my a/c won't come on. The unit in the attic makes a really light humming noise but won't come on.

Where can I purchase a run start capacitor for a RUUD air conditioner model # UAKA-030JAZ
Most big box stores do not carry these type of parts.You are supposed to be a licensed contractor to buy at a heating & cooling supply company. Not knowing were you live I can not recommend a supplier. I am in the Cleveland Ohio area. If you can not find it locally I can ship it for you.

Ruud UAKA-030JAZ fan spins, not blowing cold air
there are 3 things to be considered,first,if the compressor motor `s connectors are having loose,it gives a hi ampere to your RELAY that can cause to its contacts being fried,second,the compressor motor itself is gaining a hi ampere already i.e. having unusual sound that can cause heavy friction inside the turning mechanism and third the last but not the least,maybe this time,the tubes or the compressor itself having very small holes that causes to the refrigerant to escape and it doesn`t gives off cold air.

Freezing pipes and water dripping on to motherboard of the heater in a Ruud UAKA-030JAZ system. Help?
More than likely, the system is low on refrigerant and the copper line-set is freezing up and water is dripping onto the board in the furnace (and other things) because it is an upflow system with the evaporator coil on top. Other things to check would be:
1. Dirty/clogged filters in the return air system.
2. Fan motor not working inside furnace. (The Blower)
3. Coil dirty/clogged which could be checked by the amount of airflow coming out of the vents. This would have to be cleaned by a technician.

Most of the time, it is the charge which also means there is a leak in the refrigerant system somewhere and needs to be fixed. Hope this helps you out! Good luck.

You need to complete the 24 volt circut from the themostat to the transformer to get the contactor to pull in.

Check for voltage at the transformer,should be 120 v in 24 volts out.Also there may be a small reset button on the transformer.

I am trying to find a parts list for a RUUD UAKA-030JAZ air conditioning unit (specifically the compressor/condensor contactor).
RUUD will only sell there factory parts to certified contractors. My advice to you is to find a local HVAC parts distibutor that will sell you generaric parts which will work just as good as the factory parts.
