My keyboard seems to type letters, especially x

Keyboard types double letters, especially 'a'. This is my second wireless keyboard. Is there a solution?

Uninstall keyboard drivers, restart, install drivers.
If problem persists, replace keyboard.

Check by swapping the keyboard. You might have a stuck windows key (the one with the windows flag on it)....

I have a Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000 that also has a very short range. The only solution I've found so far is to plug the receiver into a USB extention cord and run the cord toward the mouse.

Keys go bad.
Most keyboards are capacitive, so it isn't an actual switch under each key, but sometimes it's just crud under they key
Try popping the key off, cleaning underneath it, and replacing they key.

With your mouse, close down the PC. Restart your PC. Note if Bluetooth is working.

install the divers for the keyboard and the mouse. Do not activate the options (standard setup)

for the laser 6000 v2

hit the reset button on the wireless receiver (oval button)
THEN
hit the small white reset button on back of wireless keyboard (it's called Connect Channel)

presto!

If the issue occurs again, connect the keyboard to a different computer. If the keyboard functions correctly on a different computer, the port to which the keyboard was connected on the original computer may be damaged. If this is the case, contact your computer manufacturer to inquire about how to repair or replace the damaged port.
If the keyboard does not function correctly on another computer, the keyboard may be defective. If this is the case, and the warranty on the keyboard is still valid, you can exchange the defective keyboard for a new keyboard.
