Re: hi! sir, hw r u. when ever i try to install win
If you don't care about data on the hard drive format the drive first and then install XP. You may also find that your XP CD is bad in this case try different disc if possible. Good Luck.

Sory to report - from Western Digital support site
Uses SES Drivers 7, Vista, XP -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not Supported Server 2008, Server 2003, 2000 Server, 2000, ME, 98SE, 98, 95 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Win 98 is not a supported OS, for that drive.
Win 7 is just ****...Win Vista was ****.....
note that Win7 does not have all the required files to operate many of the PC/notrbooks hardware....u will keep getting issues in these OS
issue is MS has not addedd all the drivers and DLL files in their new OS...on the pretext that they have release the LITE version....they blame the HW mfgrs for not supplying the required drivers to run the HW....
try the same drivers that ran ur HW in XP...load the same drivers and c if it works...
i.e. if u have the XP CD
if possible go back to a full version of XP SP3...i have it but dont know how to pass it on....i can try loading it on to my 4Shared drive....but it will take 4 days to load it...visit my website and get useful info...and some tools...to clean ur machine...get Tuneup Utility...it can clean ur machine.... www.sureshayyar.110mb.com
Hi Phine_24,
I think you've problem with Harddisk.Try to find spare one and install again it should work. Very strange is that if you remove your hardisk out and test externally it should sometime work fine but sometime fail.I think it's a starting sector or some check up that windows or hardware need and it couldn't access it.
goodluck,takecare.
