if your keypad is locked with security code in nokia 1600 then you can use this simple trick to unloack the keypad without the security code. first of all press the left soft and you will be asked for the security code. don't enter a security code and press right soft key to get back in the default position now press and hold the left soft key and suddenly a text will appear for a moment."press * now" you can poress star and unlock your keypad.
Sounds like a short key is being activated when you are pressing series of buttons disable short keys on your PC options menu or hold down the shift key then disable the short/hot keys menu
Make sure that the keys are actually locked. If you
attempt to unlock a keypad that is not locked, nothing will happen. Look
on the phone's screen for the key icon that indicates the keypad is
locked. If you try to press any of the keys and the word "Unlock"
appears on the screen, your keypad is definitely locked. If you do not
see the indicator but are unable to use the keypad of your Nokia 6085,
your battery could be dead, so try recharging it and then see if the
keypad works.
