Your dryer needs 208 - 220 volts for electric heat. If you have determined (in some way) that you have sufficient voltage coming to the dryer, then your issue may be a defective heat element, thermostat, timer, etc. Contact an appliance service company.

Kenmore electric dryer heat stays on when door open

Sounds like your thermistor/thermostats could be your problem.
They control the heat coming from the heating coil.
Unplug the dryer.
If you remove the back of the dryer, look for the air tube coming from the blower to the drum, normally inside the air tube you will find the heating coil and the thermistor/thermostats. Replace as needed.
Good luck,
Hope this helps

Maytag dryer does not heat.

If the dryer comes on but doesn't heat, it is probably the heating element. If the dryer doesn't come on at all, it most likely is the dryer's motor.
