the red gun is not converging...if u cover the red gun the picture is sharp...but no red...red wavy lines are seen when the cover to the gun is remove

Are you experienced technician ? if you are not you are gone to mess up your tv you need to replace 2 IC's stk392-040 check power supply if still ok and get in to service mode to make the convergence aligment and is not that easy contac andrews electronics in CA they have squematic for

Tv have a convergence problems,it dead.The tv convergence board is dead.The tv convergence board,must be replaced like 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of resistors too.Will fix the tv convergence board,to solved tv convergence picture problems.Tries websites like Tvrepairworld.com,Tvrepairkits.com to buy a convergence kit to repair it ur self.

I have a similar problem as described as a convergence problem with my Sony KP-53HS30 TV. Can you elaborate further on the solution to repair. Which IC and protector fuses do I replace? Thank you.

Your model uses two STK392-560 Convergence ICs. also there are 6 pico fuses on the D board and two pico fuses on the G board which may need replacement also. The Sony type 1 convergence repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com contains the IC's pico fuses and a few resistors plus instructions on CD of how to do the repair.

I have problems with my convergence, the picture shows on a oval shape. Its a Sony KP-53HS30

You need to replace two convergence out ICs STK392-560 in D board of TV.
Above said ICs are available in Parts Store.

you need to replace both STK392-560 convergence ics. You canget replacement ics at the following link and they will give you free instalation instructions with pictures so you can do the repairs yourself.Heres the link.

you don't need a convergence board the one you have could be fix the only problem is the alignment is not that easy and won't cost $ 500 unless you live in alaska and worth fixing it today you just get bad set made in chi???

Yes you can I did read around and you can order converg IC's and replace them along with maybe a fused resistor. I can e-mail you schematic just leave a message here.
