I can't find any info on restore/recovery for your computer. In Windows XP open My Computer, C would be your main partition, do you see D as a small partition? I'm not sure, if it's there, how to boot to restore page, HP is F-11 for instance at boot. You can try to reboot and start at F-1 and continue through to F-12, one after another. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

What version of Windows are you trying to run? Did you have a crash and need to re-install or are you just missing some drivers. I really hate when some companies tie the operating system to their particular brand. My advice to you, if you haven't gotten too attached to the PC and wouldn't mind starting out clean, save some files which you cannot live without and Reformat with a Generic Windows. I know it sounds drastic, but in the long run it's the only way.

You have to installl sound drivers, mainboard chipset drivers for your computer.
Windows XP usually recognise some motherboards. In your case, you must do it manually.
Search on internet for your motherboard drivers

try looking on opendriver.com They may have the correct driver for you. I didn't know your O/S.
