Loaded Spyware Doctor....It seems to get rid of it, but I have to go into desktop and reset my desktop to "none",to get rid of the spyware message. Then everything seems fine..............UNTIL I shut down my computer. When I turn it back on..................It's BAAACK!!. Even if I disconnect the internet cable from the computer, and pull the power plug, and do a cold boot. What do I do, now? HELP!!

If you want to protect yourself from being a victim of targeted online advertisement and password theft download a free spyware removal tool and install the software. Like the computer virus, spyware is also a type of malware but of different nature. Unlike computer viruses, spywares do not replicate themselves, corrupt files, or infected other computers that come into contact with the infected computer. The construction of the spyware is also different from the computer viruses. Therefore the regular anti virus software that we use can not protect our PC from the spyware infections.

In addition to Avast, you want to download and install Spybot Search & Destroy, which focuses on cleaning out spyware, malware, adware, etc. It also provides real-time protection against them. One thing to remember about anti-spyware and anti-virus programs is that you need to update them at least once a week.

I had this issue a short while ago and after trying many "solutions" a friend suggested Avast (http://www.avast.com). This freeware antivirus works even better than McAfee at most things including spyware. Try it. You won't be disappointed.

The best free anti virus program you can get is one called Avast Anti Virus. You can download it from download.com easily and use it to scan your computer and remove any threat. Another good application is called spybot search and destroy. This detects and removed spyware and malware. You can get this from the same place.

Possible spyware has been detected

Try installing a program called adware, its free and can remove any spyware you may be getting. Try that and then see how it goes, you shouldn't have to run a recovery just for a bit of spyware.

I need ur help again

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially and if I may remark, a very challenging and time consuming virus cleanup. Some that you could try:
  • determine what virus files/names are involved. Some would be appearing in "msconfig" startup;
  • some would not allowed to be deleted, try delete in Safe Mode;
  • in some instances, some services would have to be stopped using Ctrl-Alt-Del;
  • download, install and run RRT (remove restriction tool);
  • download, install and run Ad-Aware.
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

I have a spyware in my aspire 5630-6622 What cant i do for my problem tank

  1. Download Spybot Search and Destroy.
  2. Boot your computer in safe mode (tap F8 during the restart process).
  3. Scan/Remove any spyware that Spybot detects.
If this is still an issue, a simple Google search for "spyware remover" will yield millions of results. Just make sure that you run the spyware remover in safe mode to ensure that it catches spyware that is already running on your system.
