My logitec dual action controllers fail intermittently

I plug the controllers into the usb port, and press the Mode button. IF (and I do mean IF) the red button lights, it goes off if I even slightly nudge the cable. I assume it's broken wires. Can they be repaired?

Yup, the USB connection is not secure. Its either your gamepad's wire or your PC's USB port itself. Try using other USB ports. If still the same problem you might have to buy a new gamepad.

I Got an speedlink SL-4451-SBK for ps3 and it wont connect

This works: Turn ps3 on. Plug the controller into the usb cable and into ps3. Then plug the dongle into other usb port. After a short time the dongle will flash quickly (this means it's in pairing mode - when the dongle flashes slowly it's too late). Press the PS/Home button as soon as you see the dongle fast flashing. All the LED's on the controller will begin to flash and after a short time one (or two) will remain solid. Immediately disconnect the charging usb lead from the controller and again the LED's will flash, push the PS/Home button again and after a short time one or two will remain solid. The controller should now be working. If the controller fails to respond repeat this process but make sure that you disconnect the dongle and reinsert (so you can see the fast flashing lights and try again).

My wireless mouse has stopped working

Wireless mice require batteries, unlike many USB, products, which are powered by the USB port; a wireless mouse is one of the devices that are not. Manufacturers, such as logitec and microsoft, have cleverly concealed the batteries inside the mouse, either under the place where your palm rests (older models) whereas newer models may have a battery compartment door underneath.

The only part powered by your USB port is the transmitter (the 'dongle') that is plugged into the USB port . You have to change the batteries every once in awhile. Some models put themselves into a sort off standby/off mode if you don't touch them for a certain period of time; others have tiny On/Off switches underneath. If you have one of those, remember to turn your mouse off, overnight, or when you aren't going to use it for long periods of time.

Logitech controller is not detected at all by the pc..and the mode light does not go on.

If you haven't tried this, go to control panel, and detect new hardware, you may have to poke around to find this, but it should be under printers and hardware. Make sure that the device is fully plugged in, and if it uses USB and your PC has more than one USB port, try a different port. Otherwise, the controller may be defective, but you can try calling the helpline for the company, and inquiring if they can help you hook it up. There may be a trick none of us know.

I just buoght a dual action pc controller it truns on and off when i plug it in to the usb but i cant play online or pc games with the controller

Have you tried different usb ports. If so are then on the same controller? One of the reasons this happens is that the usb device requires more power than the usb port can give. When this happens it resets the port (getting the on and off effect). Another way of sorting it out would be to buy an addtional usb card as this draws its power through another part of the motherboard.

Usb ports

This can only mean on thing that the USB port on your computer is not properly working, what you can do here first is to run the setup CD for your motherboard so all the software including the driver for the USB port will be reinstall, if after that still not working the USB port of the computer is already bad...

My itune can not detect my ipod classic 120 gb

try putting your ipod in disk mode.
Press and Hold the Menu (top button) and the Action (center button) until you see the apple appear, then switch your fingers to the Play/Pause (bottom button) and the action (center button) and hold till you see a check mark on the screen.
attached the usb cord and plug it into your computer with your itunes on.
I should mount to itunes.
if it doesn't mount try a different usb port preferably a usb 2.0 port
If that fails, something is wrong with your ipod.

if this helps, please leave a vote on fixya
