What kind of cover? Is it a greyish/tan cover on the inside of the oven cavity on the right hand side? If so, it's called the waveguide cover. I'm guessing it started arcing and burning... try 'googleing' the model number to see if you can find any information on it.

This will occur if the inverter has experienced a surge or, if the cut off fuse has blown. you can check the cut-off fuse by removing the cover. it is located near the magnetron tube. replace it if it is blown. if the fuse is ok, this will confirm inverter failure. replace the inverter in this case.
