Singer Co. told me they don't have updates yet for the XL6000
Testimonial: "thank you for the information"
Several things: You need the PSW conversion software to be able to transmit embroidery designs to your XL-6000. Also, you should have received a cable with your XL-6000 that allows it to communicate with your computer. The one that came with my machine has a pin type connector on both ends and it's known as a null serial port connector. I had to purchase another cable because the pin connector would not work with my USB ports on my laptop. I ordered one online and it came with a CD (driver) that you have to load to your computer to make it work. Another thing was that my newer version of Windows (7) would not run the conversion software that came with the sewing machine. There is a feature in Windows 7 that allows you to run software made for previous versions of Windows. Go go Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features>Run software made for previous versions of Windows. Hope this helps.
You might start at Singer Co. This may not be what you are looking for.
