How many hours on the unit?
Does it have spark?
Is it getting fuel?
Check the compression. If it has low compression it won't start.

Poulan model p3314 recoil spring won't go in correctly
You need to pretension it. Remove the pull handle, rotate the spool about 2 revolutions against the spring, rethread the cord and reinstall the handle.
