Shoprider- wheelchair will not move-Lights keep flashing

When I turn it on the lights keep flashing and it will not operate. Batteries are fully charged. I checked the plug to the battery. It's firmly plugged in.

This usually occurs when either the battery charger is still plugged in when the button is pressed to turn on the wheelchair, or if the joystick has got 'Locked'. On the majority of electric wheelchairs you can lock the joystick control so that the wheelchair cannot be moved, for instance, it it was left outside a shop. You would need a manual for the controller from the manufacturer to tell you how to unlock it. You should be able to find this online somewhere. Most controllers on shopriders are made by Penny & Giles (P&G Drives Technology). Hope thats helpful to you...

Code 8: Controller problem. Also, check to see if your gearbox levers are engaged - if you can roll the chair by hand the gearbox is not engaging the motors.

Janice check your charger it could not be charging the batteries. Now always charge your batteries overnight while you sleep When you get up lights on the charger should be red and green if they are red and yellow then the charger hasn't fully charged the batteries and overnight should be more than enough time to charge fully. This could indicate a bad battery remember new doesn't always mean good. Like they say always charge before use and this goes for new batteries too you need to charge new batteries nightly for 10-15 days before they start operating at 100%. If when you plug in the charger before bed and the lights are red and green then there is a problem with the charger or the batteries or the charger circuit Hope this helps you

Flashing battery life lights, quickie 525s

The chair is either in freewheel or the number of flashes will indicate an error code to tell what the problem is. Look in your users manual for error codes or contact Sunrise Medical Tech support

I have a 4 wheeled shoprider sunrunner scooter. Only 3 lights on led light up batteries are fully charged?

Possible one or both batteries have had there day. How old are the batteries. If they are between 1 and 2 years old they will probably need replacing. it would be adviseable to get the batteries tested and have the charger checked as well. When did it have its last service ?

Here are some ideas :- Is the charger disconnected from the chair, are the brake levers in the drive possition. do the batteries need charging. Failling that it could be a controler fauld so you will need to consult an engineer.
