D-Link DBT-120 (ASKU22981) Wireless Adapter Logo

Connectivity problems My DBT-120 was working perfectly until a few weeks ago. I've been trying to connect it to a wacom tablet, but every time I click "new connection" it says "Bluetooth is not ready." I've been trying to find a solution, but all the guides just say "turn on the connectivity switch." But the light on the bluetooth is green. The icon on my desktop is red. What's going on? I'm desperate for help.

If you are on a Mac then...
I also had problems losing the use of my Apple Bluetooth keyboard in combination with the D-Link DBT-120 dongle.

I fixed it by going to System Preferences > Bluetooth > Advanced > and changed the default Bluetooth-PDA-Sync popup menu from "Modem" to the "RS-232" port.

This fixed the loss of my Apple Bluetooth keyboard during reboots and it also fixed all of the Bluetooth error messages I was getting in the Console > System Log... as well as all of the Bluetooth error messages I was getting during SUM (i.e. Single User Mode... Command-S during startup).

My computer won't recognize my wacom when I plug it into the USB. I've had it for three months and have just recently been having this problem off and on.

Remove and reinstall all USB controllers To remove and reinstall all USB controllers, follow these steps: Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK. Click the Hardware tab. Click the Device Manager button. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers. Right-click every device under the Universal Serial Bus controllers node, and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time. Restart the computer, and then reinstall the USB controllers. Plug in the removable USB storage device, and then test to make sure that the issue is resolved.

I have a Wacom Bamboo Fun Medium Table with Cordless Pen. I've had it for about 3 months. It's been working great until this week. I notice it disconnects (the light goes out and it stops working). I...

It may be the USB port you're plugging into going bad. Try switching to plugging into a different USB port and see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't it may be something faulty in the tablet itself and will still be covered by the manufacturer's warrenty. From my experience with Wacom, they're very prompt in fixing or replacing bad tablets.

I SEEM TO HAVE 'NO INK' IN MY TABLET PC INPUT PANEL PROGRAM

In the programs that don't work, check your ink settings. Mine kept going to white until I got them set to black as default.

NEVER use system restore unless you have already tried malware scans, spyware scans, virus scans AND registry repair programs to fix software related problems. It is a LAST RESORT ONLY, just like FORMAT C.

Blinking lights no response

I was able to fix this same problem by doing a hard reset, and re-synching with my computer.
To do a hard reset, press the power button and the two center buttons, all at the same time. Hold them down for about 10 seconds - when you let go, the tablet will start trying to synch again. Once you go through the synching steps again, everything should work properly.

Initial Delay of tablet pen

I had a similar problem with Vista which made the pen/cursor freeze just as the tip was placed on the tablet face.
The problem turned out to be a Vista setting.
I went to Start > Control Panel > Pen and Input Devices.
Then in the Pen Options tab highlight the "Press and Hold" pen action and then press the "Settings..." button. In the dialog box that opens uncheck the "Enable press and hold for right-clicking" check box. Hit "OK".
Worked for me.

My Pen Doesn't Work

"Mine did this, too. I twisted the bottom half a few times (trying to take it apart) and it started working normally again."

I just wanted to reaffirm that twisting the eraser end 5-6 times solved the problem for me. Most likely it's not a cure-all, but another suggestion to try out.
