I previously got a response from this page but can't find the part # given to me. (A fuse and soldering wires?)I have an RCA 52" the screen appears in 3D and when turned on or off, a blue, red and green line appear across the screen.
I have the same problem. TV is 2 years and 3 months old. I called a repairman who over the phone said it was the transformer or something like that. (very bad english) Quoted a repair price of between 300-600.00. Any ideas on possibly fixing this myself.

Than this RCA DLP tv have convergence fuses.Convergence fuse is dead.U have a soldering iron, desoldering pump or desoldering braid and can u do basic soldering? HELLO AM RICO, I WORK ON TVS SOMETIMES. ON THIS MODEL OF TV ITS COMMON FOR COLD SOLDER AROUND THE FLYBACK, CHECK THE FLYBACK, IF THERE IS COLD SOLDER AROUND THE FLYBACK. YOU NEED TO RESOLDER THE FLYBACK AND REPLACE A 5 AMP PICO FUSE. IF YOU NEED MORE HELP PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL ME AT 602-810-7149 I LIVE IN MESA AZ
Go to menu ,now to setup when in set up do you see convergence? If convergence is missing in menu it is a open fuse, only it does not look like fuse ,They look more like small square capaitors brown, they will be right next to flyback transfomer FL231 (3) of them in a roll it will be the middle one,you can take needle nose plyers and pull top up on fuses.
I dont think this problem can be fixed without solder work or part replacement of convergence section. Its no just matter of fuse. You should get repair facility from concern service center because TV has dangrous voltages inside and qualified person knows how to deal with TV.
Check the solder connections on the flyback and also right next to the flyback there is a small white coil with copper wrapped around it that will sometimes arch causing the solder to need re-soldering
You have bad convergence IC's.. If your not experienced in troubleshooting electronics or soldering, you should have a trained tech take a gander at the set. Its not worth risking life and limb to save a few bucks, Good Luck
