There are Old computers cant conect to the higher frequencies of the new routers so if you have tested the router on a newer computer and its working i suggest you either:
1. connect by cable. 2. buy a new network card. 3. buy a new computer.
(Also the antenna can be lose or be broken just screw it lose and check.)
Is there any computer online using the router. If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router. If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer. router set up page is the page where you can check all the router settings.

you need to configure the wireless on the router through a cable connection at first. after logging in on the router (default admin login and password should be mentioned in the router's manual) you can enable the wireless and the DHCP. to access the router, open an internet browser window and surf to the address http://192.168.0.1, where you will be asked to fill in the admin password.
please keep us posted on any evolution
2wire routers will only work with another device (router) if you will set it up to bridge mode. you need to go to the ip address of 2wire and check the box to enable routing.
did you reset to factory defaults or just unplug the router? If you hit the reset button, you'll have to go in and set everything back up. Have you tried to connect via webbrowser connected to the router from your home computer? go to 192.168.0.1 and see if you can connect to the router to see what's going on.
Follow these steps:
1.Type 192.168.1.1 in Internet Explorer.
2.You might have to put Admin password to access the router which is usually admin and password field blank.
3.Go to wireless setting and change the password.
