I could not open my word file. I forgot the password. It is only one word file of about 100 pages long. How can i open the file.

Page 23 of the manual tells you what to do with the recall code number. That you know how to pull up the recall code but don't know why begs a security question. Fixya does not break codes.

Enter your username and then click "Forgot Password" and you will receive a new temporary password in the email they have on file for you.

If the above does not work, and you have important files that you don't want to lose, you could try this... Pull the hard drive out, and use a "USB Hard Drive Adapter" (available fairly cheap online) to connect the hard drive to a friend's computer, and save all the personal files (documents, pictures, etc.) you can to a folder on the friend's computer or an external hard drive. At least you may not lose you files.

go to the yahoo login page and look for, "forgot password" or something like that. click on that link and follow the instructions. They'll either email you instructions how to reset if you have an alternate email address on file, or SMS you a temporary password if your phone number is on file.

Hotmail have a forgotten password link but you must have another email adress to send your forgotten password to
just open up another email acc at hotmail.com eg: [email protected]

When you password protect an Excel file, you will be asked 2 passwords. 1, a mandatory password, to open the file. The second, an optional, is the password to allow users to modify your file. If the second one is supplied, the user who opens the file but doesn't know the password can opt to view the file in Read Only instead. However, if you do not supply the 2nd password, users will not be given the chance to view the file even in Read Only.
