Windows 7 driver not available fro 2300 dl printer. Any suggestions. No download including vista driver works

Please follow these instructions when installing:

Follow these steps to resolve:
· Disconnect your USB cable from your printer.
· Uninstall all Lexmark printer drivers on your PC.
· Download the correct Vista driver for your model.
· Install the driver on your PC.

Important - Do not reconnect the USB cable until the install software prompts the question of how the printer is connected.

Note: Before proceeding with your driver installation we suggest you make sure you are installing the latest version available and for the appropriate model/revision and Operating System. We strongly suggest following 'readme' instructions for installing drivers when available. Yes it does work with Windows 7. The way to install it is NOt to run the Magicolor install routine supplied with the printer. Insteda in Windows 7 start menu, devices , add printer, clik on the ADD printer option (at the top) . Windows 7 will then come up with a suggested list of printers including the 2200DL. Ignore this as iot only allows a postscript driver to be installed. Instead choose the I have disk option. get windows to look for the install disk (or install files if downloaded from the QMS site and find the .inf file. Click on this. Windows 7 will then install the up to date Windows print engine files and marry it to the dteails for the 2200Dl details and you will end up with a Windows 7 driver. This works in Windows 7 home premium and professional.

To uninstall the Lexmark software properly, click on the Windows logo Start menu > Programs > Lexmark Series folder > Tools > Uninstall. Then restart pc. Now, there's no Lexmark X2350 driver specific for Windows 7, however, the Vista driver works with it. First, check your Windows 7 if it's running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by clicking on the Windows logo Start menu > right click on Computer > Properties. The original solution was to "download the Windows Vista drivers. These drivers will work with Windows 7".

There are Windows 7 drivers available now, so here is the link.
There are two different sets. One for 32bit Windows 7 and 64bit Windows 7.
To determine which version of Windows 7 you have:
Find the Computer menu item in the start menu by clicking on the Flag button in the lower left corner.
Right click on "Computer" and select properties from the list in the contents menu.
You will see under the System section a mention of the System type.
Download the matching driver.

Now considering these speakers plug in via headphone jack you dont need drivers for your speakers. You should be looking for sound drivers for your laptop.
Plug in headphones see if they work if they do then there is no reason why your speakers should not.
