SOURCE: help me please

You put the sound card in the first slot that has a notch in it so it wont fit anywhere else. once physically installed, install the drivers from the CD.

The sound card should go in what is called the PCI slot which is the WHITE slots that you should have 2 or more of depending on the system board.

Install those drivers from CD as Well. Make sure to plug everything correctly.

Hope this helps as you problem isnt clear .
It didnt translate very well. \\

Good Luck

Intel d945gccr will not support vga for windows 7? wher can i get its drivers

I don't see any VGA drivers listed for any of the Windows 7 versions,

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+945+Express+Chipset+Family+Boards&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Desktop+Board+D945GCCR

Guess they felt the drivers in the O/S (Win7) would support the Intel 945GC chipset, and it's Integrated Graphics. (Intel GMA 950)

Product Guide, (Motherboard manual), download link,

http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d945gccr/sb/CS-024514.htm

Intel 945GC chipset info,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_intel_chipsets#Core_2_chipsets

IMHO the next course of action to take, would be to buy an economical PCI Express graphics card, and install it in the
PCI Express x16 expansion slot, on the motherboard.

It will have drivers for Win7.

[Driver: A small piece of software that allows the Operating System to communicate with a device.

Win7 is the O/S, and graphics chipset is the device ]

Something as economical as this example, will work,

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2759376&CatId=3585

[NOTE*
The Intel 945GC came out in the first quarter of 2007.
According to what I read, the launch date was the first quarter of 2005.

Don't know what transpired in the meantime. Maybe Intel didn't release it until it had PCI Express 2.0 support.

At any rate..........

PCI Express is a technology.

The first release under the PCI Express name, was the
PCI Express 1.0 version.
Year? 2004.

Next upgrade version was PCI Express 1.1
The version after that was PCI Express 2.0
Year? 2007 (January 15, 2007)

I don't know if the 945GC chipset on your motherboard, uses the
PCI Express 1.1 version, or the PCI Express 2.0 version.

The graphics card is based on the PCI Express 2.0 version.

Does it matter? NO
Why?
Because PCI Express 2.0 is Backward Compatible, with
PCI Express 1.1

In otherwords the PCI Express 2.0 graphics card WILL work, on a motherboard based on the PCI Express 1.1 technology.

Will you get the full capabilities of the PCI Express 2.0 graphics card?
NO

Will you notice?
NO

PCI Express 1.1 technology has a PER lane data rate of 250MegaBytes per Second. (250MB/s)
A transfer rate of 2.5GigaTransfer/s per Second. (250GT/s)

PCI Express 2.0 technology has a per lane data rate of 500MB/s.
A transfer rate of 5.0GT/s ]

I need mercury motherboard PI945gcm drivers

This is your board:
http://www.mercury-pc.com/product-detail.php?link=p-mainboards&subtitle=Mainboard&productid=751#
There are specifications and download tabs lower on the page. You have Intel GMA 950 video and Intel 945GC and ICH7 chipsets. You can try your Intel drivers here:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Chipsets&ProductLine=Desktop+Chipsets&ProductProduct=Intel%c2%ae+945+Express+Chipset+Family&ProdId=2115&LineId=127&FamilyId=40
The biggest problem you are going to have is with the sound. The IDT 92HD202 has been discontinued. You can try downloading driver from Mercury however, you may want to consider an upgrade to a sound card or graphics card. The Radeon HD cards will give you graphics and sound using ATI's DVI to HDMI adaptor:
http://www.txcesssurplus.com/servlet/Categories
You have a PCIe x 16 slot so you could upgrade.

Ethernet controller driver required

You'll have to go to the Intel website and download the controller drivers from them. You will need to identify the motherboard type and operating system being used as the drivers are OS specific. www.intel.com

Intel 945 gccr has pci x16 slot for graphic card or not

The Intel 945GC Express Chipset contains two separate, mutually exclusive graphics
options. Either the integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics controller is used or a PCI
Express x16 add-in card can be used. When a PCI Express x16 add-in card is
installed, the Intel GMA 950 graphics controller is disabled.
The 9500 should work even though it is pci-e 2.0..i would go with a brand like BFG as they offer a lifetime warrantee..

945 sound driver stup errer

Chances are your using realtek IC, check on *********** board for a computer chip that has a crab like logo on it, if you find one go to www.realtek.com and download everything that's there you should find a driver if that's the case. Now, I say download everything because there are both device drivers and audio codecs for the devices. If you do not have a realtek device you can try and look over your motherboard and identify what audio IC is on your motherboard and download the drivers for that model IC

I bought hp desktop a6610in. they gave me vista. now i installed xp sp2. i need motherboard driver for intel 945

Normally the best place to get drivers is from the manufacturer's website. However, HP does not support downgrading this model to XP and thus does not have drivers available on their website.

Read first:)

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01274160&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3801395&rule=5756&lang=en

You can try to get generic drivers from the original manufacturer of the motherboard chipset. The problem is in identifying the correct drivers for your model. According to the product specifications from HP, your motherboard should be a Foxconn MCP73M01H1. The HP designation for this board is Napa-GL8E. If that holds true, the following drivers should work for you:

nVidia Chipset:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_630i_610i_winxp_16.08.html

(in particular, verify that this chipset driver installs the SM Bus and Ethernet drivers for your system before continuing)

nVidia Graphics Driver:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_169.21_whql.html

Realtek HD Audio:

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3
Other drivers will depend on the extra hardware installed (modem, card reader, etc.). Also, as this board uses High Definition Audio you may have to install the Microsoft UAA definitions before the sound card in order to get the sound to work.

Best to save all downloads to a folder (C:drivers) before trying to install. Please comment on your results.
