I have a sonyt vaio-cr120e and i installed windows 7 on it. When i did this i tried to update drivers but i couldn't find any for windows 7. Most stuff works with vista drivers but things such as the av button, the motion eye, and the sd card reader dont work. Does anyone know how to fix this or get windows 7 drivers for my computer?

If anyone is having trouble getting this driver to install on their Windows 7 Vaio, the problem is not the driver itself, but the installer, which does not work with Windows 7. I had the same problem as everyone else, but I downloaded/installed the Universal Extractor (http://legroom.net/software/uniextract) and the driver installer (http://s02.download.sony.com/US/pc/RIDCAM-14566600-US.EXE). I ran the Extractor on the Driver's Installer, which extracted all of the files. I then executed the x64 installer file (RIDCAM-14566600-US\TEMPEXEFOLDER\DPInst64.exe). This properly updated the driver and my webcam has been functioning normally since. Hope this helps others

Audio in this Computer Model may not work properly after installing Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1). It is required to install the BIOS Update version R0231Q0 in the Computer to fix this issue.

IMPORTANT: Before installing the BIOS Update, please make sure that the Computer is connected to AC Power. During the installation of this update, please do not turn off the Computer, do not allow the Computer to enter standby or Hibernation states, do not start other programs and do not connect any peripherals.

Please download and save the file to the Computer, after that please open the folder where the file was download and double click the file to begin the installation. Please follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation. After the installation the Computer will restart automatically.

Installing this BIOS Update should fix the Audio issue in the Computer.

I'm afraid that many devices are not supported by Windows 7 for Sony Vaio laptops.

Click on the Sony support page and download the VISTA driver for this device and follow the compatibility guide below.

Here are the steps to run the web cam driver in Vista compatibility mode:-
1. Right click on the web cam driver.
2. Click Properties
3. Click on Compatibility tab,
4. Put a check mark on Run this program in compatibility mode
5. Select the operating system as windows Vista
under Privilege Level, check mark "Run this program as an administrator"
6. Click on Apply
7. Click OK.
