Hey, when I turn my navman on it goes through the usual boot screen and through to the safety agreement, i press agree to that and then it goes to a screen saying loading maps. It then goes back to the previous boot screen. It is like it is rebooting because it cannot access the maps
Hi, my probelm is very similar I turn it on and it shows a laptop, usb connection and the navman with a usb cable connecting them together,it also has circle running back an fourth
Ok i have had this problem on a S80 and have fixed it, and i went through a $h!t fight to get the navdesk 2008 software but i have it if anyone needs it and i loaded my navman up again, it seems to be working fine.
Step #1) Back up entire data from navman onto a disc or hard drive.
Step #2) Format the navmans internal memory and then cancel the format about 5 seconds into it, but less then half way.
Step #3) Install navdesk 2008
Step #4) under the tools tab, select the recover keys options.
Step #5) under the tools tab, select the reinstall navman software option, it will ask you to back up but as there should be nothing to back up it doesnt matter, and then it should reinstall the navman software into the nav man.
Step #6) Install the maps that are unlocked or the maps you want(you may have to buy maps that were not a standard map when your navman was brought.
Theres so many wonderfull things you can do with these navmans aswell as GPS, like watch video and play music belive it or not.

I downloaded and installed the Service Pack, crossed my fingers and it all came back.
Load the update available from their webstie, fixed it for me.

reflash the gps, or update your maps and you should be set! if nothing seems to work send in for warranty, what options does ur gps give you for connecting it to a pc or other device?

I have the same problem. the safety agreement comes up, then it boots into loading maps, asks me again to agree, then continues doing thesame thing infinitum. Any ideas?
I have the same problem, My NAVMAN S50 opens and asks meif I agree to the safety instructions, then begins to load maps, then asks me again to accept, then loads maps, etc, but wont get past that.

I have the Navman S80, used it over christmas time, and havn't used it since new year, same problem won't load maps, won't let me past the agreement screen, am i suppose to purchase a product key or something to get new maps? Not impressed with this Navman anyway, now i can't use it at all. Someone help please?
Yep, same problem here too.
Only way round it is to plug it into the computer via USB. It then seems to turn on normally once or twice then the problem comes back.
Same problem here, will turn on and get to the agreement screen, but when I choose accept it loops back to the agreement screen via the boot screen again.

Yep , same problem as everyone else , it has a retun loop when it gets to the maps .Tried downloading the service pack 1 without success. Am now looking to see if there is a reset button
