I bought an mp3 player for my son, after downloading the songs , each song only plays for about 10 seconds and then it stops. If I press volume key then it keeps playing for another 10 seconds? Can you help?
When I downloaded my songs to my mp3 player, it will only play the first 10 seconds of each song. Before I downloaded anything, the songs that came with my mp3 player were working fine. Did I do something wrong in the downloading procees?

Your MP3 is set to "Repeat->Intro" which is only sampling each song. Here's how to fix it. Once you get the MP3 into play mode, and you hear a song playing, push the "Menu" button. Next, Select the "Repeat" option (by pushing the "Menu" button again). You'll see the next displayed option as "Intro". If you push the "Rewind (i.e. left aroow button), you'll see the other "Repeat" options. Select "Normal" and the songs will play through their entirety.

this is actaully a feature called intro, go into the repeat menu and select normal, you get there by clicking mode while a song is playing. this should fix it. hope this helps
Your Uncle's player is stuck in INTRO mode. To remedy this problem
1. Play a song
2. press the button on the side of the player
3. Select PLAY MODE
4. Choose NORMAL
The new songs are in a format not recognized by the player - either DRM-encrypted WMA's or iTunes format. Download songs in mp3 format only, and you will no longer have this probelm - available from Rhapsody's Mp3-Only Service (make sure you choose the right subscription), Limewire, and a handful of others.
you should check the settings on the mp3 player. I remember that many mp3 players have a setting called play the first 10 seconds of every music. Anyway check the similar setting on your mp3. Goodluck!
