I have just upgraded to a Windows 7 system. My Memorex traveldrive allows me to open saved documents but I can no longer save anything to this usb traveldrive. Any suggestions? I also have a Cruzer usb traveldrive that will not open at all. When I tell it to run theU3 Launchpad I get an error message saying to contact the manufacturer???????

Gently tap the hard drive with an opened hand and see if you can get it to spin up one last time.

click start control panel administrative tools computer management disk management if you can see your drive right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes

automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now start

you might tick one box then return after its finished the first repair then return and tick the second box you should not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage this drive

I found that you get best results by ticking one box then returning after it has finished then tick the other box

Things to ponder before deleting

Rather then deleting them right away, try moving the "day the files were uploaded" to another drive. Then try accessing the files on your memorex. Do the files and folders open properly? There not corrupt? Has the memorex hdd drive recreated the folder you just moved? etc...

Once your satisfied that yes there are two copies then you could safely remove one.

You are still using a trial version of the office. Microsoft Windows office will not allow you to save once your trial version expires. Check to be sure you have a full version.
Uninstall all former versions.
Check your system clock to be sure its using a current date and time.
Install the full version of windows office and you should be ok. Cheers

Lb44145 ,when you got the item did it come with the disk? And if you have the packaging does it say 'Vista Compatible' if not i would recommend you buy one which is vista compatible.

Hi, did you format the flash drive? If you are using windows, right click on the drive and select "Format...". You can repeat the operation a few times. If it's working, try to add your resume again. How old is the drive? Good luck!
