Have two remote both are working intermittently the one button on both rarely opens the doors now and when both buttons are pressed nothing happens or I have to open the front door and stick the remote out to get it to work

2 steps for you... first put new batteries in the remote. next trip the door mechanism by pulling on the rope. that frees the door from the chain that operates it. then close and open the door manually to prove the track is ok. then close the door and reengage the tripped mechanism. now press the button on the remote to retry. BTW... most doors will reset the catch mechanism automatically. just press the button and let her go.

Push and hold the lock button for about two seconds and the LED should stop flashing. This will unlock the garage door opener and your remotes should start working. You may have to reprogram your remotes and homelink again since you triedprograming in the lock mode.
