I cannot remove write protection of my transcend 4GB pen drive

When formatted, the disk is write protected (there is damage to the firmware)

Damage to the firmware, there are two types of
1. Damage the firmware, data can be saved
2. Damage the firmware, data can not be saved

If there is no visible lock switch on the flash drive itself, you must download utility called Jet Flash recovery Tool form transcend website and
use it recover your pen drive.

theres a lock on the side of ur device...
move it so that its between unlock and lock
then do wut u want ;)

Hi Virus or Trojans can run some process that keeps running in background. This not only harms the computer, but also prevents the pen drive from formatting as it shows that the drive is in use. Remove and re-insert the pen drive, don't double click on drive and cancel auto run operations if it starts automatically. Run a virus scan on pen drive, this will help fix the issue. Now format the pen drive.

Go to the transcend site. In the support section, click drivers/downloads. Type in your model number or search for it. Mine was a Transcend 4GB JetFlash V10 drive. So the model number was TS4GJFV10. There will be a download called Recovery Tool. Get it. Run it. That's it.

My 2gb hp pen drive showing please insert drive error. Also property showing free space 0 bytes. Please send me hp recovery tool or any equivalent tool to solve the same problem
