HI. This code is an indication of a shorted upper door latch circuit. This could have be caused by a malfunctioning relay board.

The necessary actions are to gain access to the upper door latch assembly, and test the circuit with a meter. Use the procedure below.

Before repairs or further testing can begin you must disconnect the electricity at the fuse panel, at the circuit breaker panel, or by pulling the plug. Make sure the power is off before proceeding. Set the latch to the "clean" position and test for circuit continuity at the terminals of the switch with your VOM's ohmmeter function. If there is no continuity, the switch is faulty. Use caution when testing.

NOTE_ If the upper door latch switch passes the test, simply replace the relay board.

Bought a used GE jtp15 wall oven, wired it 220 red/white/black. It turned on, locked door flashing, 4:00 flashing, then shut off and will not turn back on.

Strange it won't turn back on. Did you see it working when you purchased it secondhand?

It appears you just need to reset. Turn off at the breaker for 2 minutes, then back on and try this.

SOLVED: Our GE Profile JTP18 keeps flashing "door loc

I was using both ovens and they both shut off

Caroline
most likely oven got too hot
Is it a Fisher and Paykel electric oven ?

If it stays on the oven after it cools down
remove the power to the oven
may have to flick off circuit breaker or pull the fuse to oven electrical circuit.
Wait 30 seconds and flick on circuit breaker or put fuse back .

How can I tun oven on. Timer flashing from 000 to Auto. Can't set clock and no elements will function. Think it is something with the end button but can't remember how to fix it.

Try shutting power off to it for a few minutes, to make it easier just go to your breaker panel and flip off the breaker for the oven, wait a few minutes then flip it back on. Unless there is a button thats stuck down, which isn't very common on these due to the membrane type keypad they use, a power cycle to it should clear out whatever is wrong unless its another problem.

Frigidaire gallery stove, oven not working,

Morison,
The same thing happened to me about a week ago. I was preheating our electric oven, heard a very loud bang/pop. Checked and the oven had PF (power failure) I went downstairs and the breaker was tripped. Came back upstairs and to look at stove, the burners are working fine so I continued to preheat oven after a half an hour the oven was only slightly warm. Did you ever find out what was wrong?

My oven display is beeping and blinking 'PBR' on the display. What does that mean?

I had this same problem last night.. I have been having problems with the oven shutting off on preheat.. That sort of stopped. Last night lost power to the house. When it returned the oven was beeping and flashing PBR. I turned off the breaker for a few mins. last night and it returned. It was bugging me so much that turned it off the whole night. Woke up this morning turned the breaker back on and it stopped. I don't think this is the total solution. I am thinking that eventually I am going to have to replace power board in this oven. Hope it works!

What is the reset button for GE Profile JTP18?

For me the solution was in the temperature sensor. The Locked light kept flashing and the door locking mechanism kept cycling when the door was shut or if I just held the oven light switch in the closed door position. After replacing the control panel I still had the same problem. Next I turned off the breaker and then took off the wire covers on the back of the oven and disconnected the temperature sensor. I then checked the continuity of the sensor which was fine. With the sensor still unplugged, I turned the breaker back on and the panel said locked but the locking mechanism was not cycling. With power still on to the oven I connected the temperature sensor. It worked. All I had to do was press the clear button on the touch panel and everything was fine. I turned the breaker back off and reassembled the oven. Hope this helps.

Thermador SC302T clicking noise, locked door after power outage

iodine, open the upper oven, look thru the grill below the control panel on the right side and there is your model number. The issue here is that when the power came back on the oven run thru a test and your lower lock motor has failed. It will need to be replaced. Yes the only way to stop this is to shut off the breaker.

Control problem with oven

Macbert, there was a service flash put out by Whirlpool on your model. Service flash-22-763BR. It had to do with a wire in the harness that was not up to specifications and causing the oven to fail during normal operation. Symtoms would include, oven not working, circuit breaker blowing. There is a kit that was put out to correct this problem. 8190764. Now Im going by the model number you have posted. There are other flashes out there concering the thermal fuse behind the control panel, but I can go only on what you posted. You may want to contact Whirlpool and inquire about the service flash I posted..Good luck,
