be sure that your speakers are plugged in. then right click on the tiny speaker in the lower right corner of your screen. open the mixer and turn everything on.
get the manufacturer of the speakers to be connected
go on that web page , find a download suitable for that model and also suitable for the win operating system you have

You must have wrong sound driver download PCwizard and install this program will check motherboard for all your driver and list them sound driver will probably be in differnet section than main drivers note name and number of driver EG cmedia 23415 write down and search for them on the net cmediia 23415 drivers when found download correct drivers for your O/S. to uninstall old driver first go to start/control panel/system/hardware/device manager/ right click on all sound drivers go to properties and uninstall driver reboot you must do this before installing new driver
friend If you want to use a sound card there is a driver along with it when you buy one. Intalling is easy, just follow instructions prompted by your screen, just agree with its terms and conditions and there you go. If your PC's motherboard has an onboard soundcard you just have to configure it. Go to your computer's start click it, then go to settings and click Control Panel. Inside Control Panel click Sounds and Audio devices, then go to VOLUME, SOUNDS, AUDIO, and VOICE then adjust the volume of each. Remember to plug in your headphone to the right input/output devices.

actually u have to tell that which laptop u have is it compac,toshibaa,...etc.go to google.co.in and write "free sound card for compac'model no.' " ok than they will show u the softwares u have to download it ok bye tc.
