Hi,
This might happen due to an error or corrupted MBR, which is the sector that allow you pen to be readable and the PC might not recognize the system file being used.
I would try to connect it to another PC with a different Operating system and format it from there.
alternative you can also use Transcend recovery tool. You can download from HERE
I have purchased 8gb Transcend Pen Drive When i Connected the drive in computer a message shows "Please insrt a disk into drive". I have checked in several computers but the problem is same. Although the disk is detected but not shows the capacity when trying to open this message displayed. I have change the drive letter from my computer "Manage" option but the problem is same. What can i do?
Hello sir/Madam, You can recover by doing the following:
go to transcend website and download this software; (http://www.transcendusa.com/products/online_recovery.asp) and then you have to select repair and save data..
andthen also if you dont get ur full data, you can download Pen driverecovery from many sites(search on google) and recover or else email meat [email protected] for full software..
Remove Jet Flash Write Protection
Insert the mini CD that came with the USB Flash disk. Start JF
Utility.exe in the JF Utility directory. If it complains that the disk
is write protected, choose "Continue" Choose "Partition" Answer "Yes"
to losing all your data (Since this becomes a problem usually after
formating the disk in WinXP or Win9x, you will most probably not have
any data on there in any case) Choose "Public Area Only (Single
Partition)", Then "OK", Then "OK" again. Unplug the device, reinsert
device, and voila!- no more dark secret areas or write protection on
your disk!
