Purchased two Uniden 9480-4 packages. Each said they would support up to 10 handsets.
Registered all 8 handsets (four to a pkg) to a base and worked great for two years.
Unplugged the base, normal - have done it Many times - to move it and when plugged back in it said E4. Uniden says it was permanently damaged with a surge. (No suruge - just unplugged and replugged). Connected other base that was being used as a charging station and attempted to register the handsets.
Four registered and four wouldn't. While appearing to be identical, one set of four as different markings on the lower right key on the keypad. Otherwise they are the same model etc.
In the process of talking with Uniden, trying to get the four registered, two of the four that DID register now also have failed. All six now say, "Place in base to register or check manual" type comments.
I can't get them out of this mode, no matter What I try. Uniden says buy new systems.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Bill Sommer
