My Passport is one of the external storage product lines produced by Western Digital, or WD. Unfortunately Western Digital say that there is no way to reset the password on their passport drives.

Press either delete or f2 during the boot up process to enter BIOS scroll down to set user password you can change or remove your password from there

It may be something your antivirus is doing to keep from transferring a virus from the Passport to the Computer or vice versa.

Always be certain to run your antivirus on all periferal storage devices.
