Ge monogram induction cooktop error F

The induction cooktop will flash "F" when cookware has been removed from the surface; cookware is not present when the unit is turned on; or cookware is not centered on the element.
Position the cookware properly over the center of the cooking surface if the error code "F" flashes. Use only induction cookware and use a bigger pan, as the error code "F" indicates that the pan is too small for the cooking element.

Induction cooker are display E6 error

I did exactly the same thing as "Carol Johansson" did to fix her "Electrolux" induction cooktop.
My "Omega" induction cooktop was intermittently (more often than not) coming up with error E6 problems on two of the four elements, after a power reset it started to do it on all 4 elements.(Now the Boss was not happy)
I pulled it all apart taking photos of every stage of dismantling, makes it a lot easier to put it all back together.
The main power supply board which supplies the other two boards has about six electrolytic capacitors, two of them where bulging, (curved on the top instead of being flat). They where the 470uF 25V ones, I replaced them with 470uF 35V ones from Jaycar for $2.80.
Put it all back together and we can eat tonight, Boss is happy!!
Hope this helps and thanks to Carol for pointing me in the right direction.

I have an EKI 807.2 Glass hob. I can't turn the heat up on more than one ring without E flashing on all the Rings followed by 6

Are you sure it is properly wired? For 1 phase 230v:

1= power earth
2-3 intersected = N
4-5-6 are L1-L2-L3 that should be conected together to L

Kuppersbusch is not very cooperative about what their error codes indicate, but E6 seems to be a (low) voltage issue, so you might too check the cabling to the outlet, measure the voltage with a multimeter when you successively switch on elements

Induction error e6

Hello it07002 - You may try and reset the induction cook top by disconnecting the power to the unit for up to 30 seconds by flipping the circuit breaker off and back on. This often clears most false error codes. If the error code does not clear, then the unit more than likely may be experiencing an issue with the EOC (Electronic Oven Control) and/or user interface board. This is not a typical do it yourself job; please consult a professional or your manufacturer.

Whirlpool schott ceran induction plate doesn't get hot

magnetic gradeI have a SCHOTT Ceran glass ceramic cooktop as well, and soon realized that induction cooktops like this require that your metal cookware be in contact with the surface for them to heat up. Best cookware:
  • Cast iron pans
  • Any black metal pans
  • Stainless steel pans, if base is magnetic grade (magnet sticks to bottom)
