Hi,
What kind of cursor? Is it checkered? If it is the memory is full that is why you cannot type anything anymore.

  1. Delete games,
  2. clear all lists [2nd][MEM][4:ClrAllLists][ENTER.]
  3. Clear entries [2nd][MEM][3:Clear Entries][ENTER.]
  4. If that is not enough reset Ram [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All Ram] [2:Reset][ENTER]. Clear the Ram Cleared message.
Hope it helps

My TI-84 cursor will not allow me to type anything

If the cursor is not allowing you to type anything that means either the calculator available memory is full or that you have exceeded the number of characters in a single command.
Clear calculator memory or just clear all entries (history) or split a complicated command into multiple shorter commands.

My calculator is completely non responsive. When I hit the on button, the calculator cursor comes up but does not blink or allow me to type anything in. I have to hold the on button to keep the cursor...

It sounds as if the batteries are dead. If you are having to hold the power button on to keep the cursor on the screen, that is because the batteries only have enough power to flash a cursor, holding the power key means that the flash is constant. Try changing the batteries, this should solve the problem.

When turning my Lenovo on...the Lenovo logo pops up for a few seconds and the screen goes black with a blinking cursor in the top left corner. No way to exit or type anything onto the screen

That blinking cursor is the way in which the BIOS is telling you that Windows is missing - its most critical, core files have been corrupted beyond repair. The only thing you can do is to reinstall using the recovery cd or your own Windows install disk.

Hi, I can edit my table information in my calculator but am not able to graph from it and when i go to table it shows nothing.. what do i do?

Hi,
From what I understand you want to draw statistical graphs (scatter plot, box plot, etc.) If you do not see anything it may be due to the fact that the statistical plots are turned off.

Type in the data in lists L1 and L2, etc. Press [2nd][QUIT]

Press [2nd][Y=] (STAT PLOT] . Select [4:PlotsOff] [ENTER] .
Screen displays Done

Press [2nd][Y=] (STAT PLOT] . Select [1:Plot1 Off].
  1. The configuration screen for Plot1 opens with the cursor blinking ON.
  2. Press [ENTER] to turn Plot1 ON.
  3. Use Down Arrow to move cursor to second line Type:
  4. Select the type of statistical plot. Use the right arrow to move highlight on one of the 6 types.
  5. Select the type:scatter, Xline, histogram, box plot, and press [ENTER] to validate the choisce.
  6. Use down arrow to select the Xlist: use [2nd][1] to choose L1, etc. and press [ENTER]
  7. Select the Y-List (L2) and validate by pressing [ENTER]
  8. Select the data-point mark.
  9. Press [GRAPH].
If you do not see the graph or if it is not well centred, press [ZOOM][9:ZoomStat] to restrict the screen to the data entered.

Hope it helps.

The cursor blinks as a checkered black square and keys don't work

Hi,
The memory of the calculator is ful,l that is why you cannot enter anything anymore. You must clear the RAM of the calculator.
Press [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All Ram][2:Reset][ENTER]. Press CLEAR to clear the Ram Cleared Message.
If that does not work, pull the main batteries out of calculator and leave them out for a while (a few hours). Then reinsert them.

Hope it helps.

I don't have the book and I don't know how to shut it off...TI-83

Sorry, but you cannot. That is the cursor, and it is equivalent to the cursor you see on your computer when typing text. You can change the resolution of the screen by pressing 2ND then the up and down keys, but this will change the resolution of EVERYTHING that is on the screen, not just the cursor.
