I have a whirlpool bath tub in a rental property I purchased about 2-1/2 years ago. The property is about 18 years old I assume the tub and motor are all original. When I purchased the property the jets worked and I cleaned the tub out the last time tenants moved and they still worked. Once again I had some tenants move out and now I can not get the jets to work. I have tried resetting the GFI in the bathroom and checked the breaker. What else can I try and troubleshoot or what do you think the problem may be?
Most of the control buttons on a tub are not electrical. These buttons are connected to an air line that runs to the motor. Sometimes an aggressive button push can literally blow the air line right off of the bottom of the button.
This problem is as easy to fix as it sounds. Find the loose air line and push it back onto the button. You will need to open up your access panel. Bring a flashlight.
Be sure to check the connection at the motor too. Good luck
