I dont have a remote and im trying to set up a digital tv antenna but the only channels im getting is 3 and all the video inputs. How to i program channels

Hello,

Usually channel 3 is picked up on a channel scan when there is an input device connected to the TV via a Coaxial Cable, thus using only channel 3 on the TV itself and using the Digital converter box to tune in the channels.

The TV will need to be Digital ready to connect only a Digital Antenna to it and programmed to receive the Digital Broadcasts over the air. If you are certain that this TV is Digital Ready (TV manufactured from 2009 to the present) you can use the menu button on the top, side, or front of the television, then use the channel / volume buttons to move around the menu, and the input button as the enter button.

You will want to select Antenna (ATSC) signal before starting the auto program so the TV will be able to recognize the Digital Channel Broadcasts.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
Scott

I just programmed my dish #2 remote control to a tv. The remote is not working. I cannot access the guide menu "etc". What do I need to do? This is a second tv and the remote worked just fine before....

It sounds like the remote would need to be programmed to the receiver itself. It may have lost it's programming when the TV code was put in.

To program remote to Satellite:
1. Access System Information screen.
2. Note the # on the bottom where it was Secondary Remote Address.
3. Hold SAT until all buttons on top of the remote light up.
4. Let go and while it's blinking enter a number between 1-15 and press #
5. Press record 3 times and test remote.

Hi jollycay there is something else you can look at, youwant to press the Menu button and then press the numbers 6-1-3. It will takeyou to System Info 1, you will need to see if field F is green and if so I do apologizefor the loss of the recordings due to we have no way of recovering them. If thebox is not green please call in so we can take further action.
