I have a Kodak Easy Share 5300. It prints color elements fine, but will not print using the black cartidge--anything, not text, not black elements in a photograph, etc. I have tried recalibrating the printer and the test page does not print properly, but there is no recalibration. By, the way, the ink cartridge is new.
The Kodak AiO printers 5000 series and ESP series PRINTHEADs has orange protective cap that need to be remove to fit on the printer carriage. For the ink cartMy KodakEasy Share 5300 will not print in black. - 7b91cbc.jpg src="/uploads/images/7b91cbc.jpg" alt="7b91cbc.jpg" class="h_mi" />there is also a orange protective cap.
Issue that its not printing black and deep clean and removing the printhead and reinstalling the printhead (reseating printhead) is already done and still no black when printing. The printhead should be replace. For futher assistance call 1 800 421 6699 Kodak AiO printer support line
Have you done the deep cleaning o the printhead? If yes try to reseat the printhead and the ink cartridges, but do not forget to calibratre it again because you need to calibrate the printer everytime you remove the printhead.
If this issue not solve it means printhead is clogged you need to call kodak 1 800 421 6699 for printhead replacement i think its free of charge
Maybe you didn`t remove the protection from the cartridge, (some tape with a piece of paper on the cartridge`s flexband).
