The screen of my sony vaio disappear when i open it in normal mode....but i can open it through safe mode... how can i resolve this? if i will reformat it, will i lose everything? and need to buy a new operating system?

Have you done any Hardware/Software Updates/Upgrades? Have you tried a System Restore/Recovery? Reseat the Memory mods, Graphic Card, etc. Try to boot to safe mode, Open msconfig, select Normal Startup, reboot. Let us know what the results are.

When starting laptop, go to bios, (a screen pops up while starting and in the corner will be bios with whatever function key to use to open,) press that function key quicklyand that'll open a new screen to change the setting to normal.

some of the files are corrupted on your windows installation, To solve this press F10 when your computer as soon as it shows you vaio screen keep on taping F10 and it will boot in recovery parition and then you can reimage your harddrive from there.

Try starting in SAFE mode by pressing F8 when the logo disappears. If u can get in safe mode goto DEVICE MANAGER and remove the display adapter and then restart the computer.
