When you turn the cordless on it say connecting line then no connection. You are not able to recieve calls or make calls. I switched the phone lines to make sure the line was good and it is. I work at a motel and nobody knows how to fix the phone. Can you help?
Registration:
a. Press MENU-6 to enter the registration mode
b. Press and hold the base’s Registration (REG)
button for 2 seconds until 4 LEDs light up. (Located on the base where you plug in the phone jack)
c. Press handset key “1”, this completes the
registration process. When you register the
handset to BASE 10, the base will assign a
handset ID between 11 and 19. The assigned ID
will be displayed on the handset LCD, indicating
successful registration.
d. Repeat above steps for all additional handsets.
e. The first two handsets registered will be given ID
11 and 12, which gives them administrator
privileges.

Not likely defective, just need to be reset. If I understand correctly, no ring with an incoming phone call, but the intercom feature works fine. The ringer on the handsets is either "off" it will say no ringer or the base station is not communicating correctly. Intercom is handset to handset. Phone calls pass through the base station first. Of course, check the base unit: power on, phone line plugged in, antenna attached. Then try the phone line to check for dial tone with a regular, "old" analog telephone. If you are using these with a PBX, you must have an analog line installed.
Hi..does it have a speaker phone on your reciever..try that if that works..maybe the ear speaker is bad..I have a friend with the same problem..and her issue is she droped the phone in the sink..got it wet and hers did this...it could not be fixed..
Several things can go wrong. Do they need to dial an extension to access an outside line? Make sure they know this. Also, make certain to remove any area code in the menu settings. The phone could be trying to make a call, yet it dial the area code each time and screws up the PBX, so no outside line. There are more possibilities, but they require on site tests.
William,
It may be simpler than you think. Have you tried pressing the same button you press to make a call to retrieve the second caller? By pressing the button repeatedly, you will switch from call to call unless you have conferencing from your dial tone provider. If this doesn't do it, let me know. Please, calls are important and not to be lost through new technologies.
I can't talk through the phone but I can hear.
I have the same problem and I want to deregister my phone so I can register my phone but now it says it can't find the base. Why not?
