My 360 just wont start and it worked the other night i have tried everything except taking it apart and the brick seems to be fine as it still light up but just no power is going to the console

Some times resetting is as easy as disconnecting one battery cable and then reattaching it. Other times only a Nissan dealer can do it. Try the battery trick first if it doesn't work you may have to take it to a dealer. Hope this helps.

Hi check on the power brick that when you switch it on at the mains you get the orange light on the power brick, if you have this watch this light as you press the on button on the console if it turns red on the power brick then you have internal error on your xbox, if it stays orange then try taking out the power lead out of the back of the xbox 360 then push it back in sometimes if you dont get it pushed in far enough it wont work push it in as hard as you can then double check by pushing it back in then try pressing the on button.

if when you turn it on at mains you dont have any lights light up on the power brick then this could mean you either need to change the fuse in the plug or the power brick has over heated and needs replacing, if you do have an orange light on it then instead of pressing the on button on the xbox try pressing the dvd drive open button and see if that then switches it on.

most of the time its just because you dont push the power lead in the back of the xbox far enough, you can push it in thinking its in far enough when its not try pushing it in that little bit further and you should find it will come on.

Umm if you have sound then your yellow av cord must be faualty (The yellow av cord is the one that produces the pictures onto the screen) But if you have no sound and the power brick and xbox is humming away nicely then i recomend taking it to a repairer to try and get it fixed.=]

What colour is the light on your power brick when it will not turn on? if its red thats your problem, turn it off and let it cool, remove any dust and make sure its well ventilated, if the light still goes red, you need to try another power brick.

Is the light on your power brick red, if so this is your problem, its overheating, if cooling it down does'nt work try another power brick.

If the power brick light is orange, but no power at all to the console, look into the usb ports on the front of the console, its easier if you remove the faceplate,make sure there is no damage or bent pins touching, this will short your console so it wont switch on.

almost sounds like it's in night shot mode, but I don't think to 2000 has that. sometimes during shipping the board to board connectors may have come loose. I would check for a loose one off the 3 ccd assembly. Thats a pretty good unit you have there, worth looking into. be carefull taking it apart there is a some 4 pin ribbon cable that can rip, just take it slow. I work on alot of these. they are a workhorse.
