Possible hose out of place?

Interesting. Who installed the unit? Not looking to blame or put anyone down. All dehumidifiers cause moisture in the air to condensate, so the fact of a need to dispose of the water is a given. The unit can be equiped with the incovenient catch pan or bicket, but, This unit doesn't sound that cheap. Yet it does condensate and water disposal issues still exist. Ok, At the point of leakage is there a Knock out like hole where a fitting could be installed? Walk around the housa and look for a pvc pipe sticking out of thr foundation at or near ground level. Is this jome equiped with central Air Conditioning? Is it a slab floor?

I'm waiting for an andwer. In fact, call me @ 909-630-3192

Humidifier does not turn on

if your saying that the voltage drops to around 4 volts at the supply transformer at anytime , then id say the load (device connected) is too much for the transformer to supply this most likely is caused by an internal fault in the load (humidifier) also since its a water appliance id say a water leak might be a factor in that as well , taking a look under the cover of the humidifier 4 signs of a water leak (or past one) would be where id start

My AprilAire 600 humidifier drips water from the bottom of the unit. I changed the filter and cleaned the parts. Could it be the hose running to the condensation pump that might be the problem?

its going to drip when it is off,it has built up humidity and has nowhere to go,leave it running and let it cycle by itself or cause damage to the system

Water is leaking from the bottom of my maytag dehumidifier. Noticed the problem over the past 2-3 weeks. I have a carpeted basement and the carpet under and around the unit is soaked. water is...

Robert, The water tubing that runs form the interior of the unit to the water bucket is clogged to solve this problem, turn the unit OFF & unplug it. Then do the following.

Remove the water collection bucket and look up inside the bucket holder cavity. You will see either a drain hole or small tubing that drains the water into the bucket. Using an appropriately sized, 18" long, plastic Zip Tie, carefully insert the tip of Zip Tie into the hole or tubing. Continue to push it in until you reach a bend in the tubing. You will need to gingerly work the Zip Tie past this bend, until it either bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. Then slowly pull the Zip Tie back out while rotating (twisting) it. This will breakup any clogs. As you reach the inserted end of the Zip Tie, be prepared, as some water may follow. Reinstall the bucket, plug the unit in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Set the humidity extraction level to 35% or Maximum if you have a manually controlled unit. Allow the unit to run, while you monitor it for any leakage.

NOTE: Is you don't have access to a Zip Tie, you can use something similar that flexible, like a long pipe cleaner. But, NO wire coat hangers.

I hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Water leaks out of the bottom of the humidifier and the bucket does not fill up. The water just leaks out.

Based upon my experience with the same problem on my Kenmore 54701 last summer: The condensate water collects in a plastic pan below the coils. This pan has a single drain hole where the water flows down into the bucket. When I suddenly found water puddling on the floor instead of in the bucket, I opened up the unit, and I found that the collection pan's drain hole had become blocked by "bioslime". I cleaned out the goo from the drain hole, and the problem was solved.

I just bought this and it keeps leaking, why?

If the room tempature is close to 60, the coils may be frozen (completely encased in ice). If this is the case, move it where the water can drain off - about 1 gallon which may NOT run into the drain bucket.
I out mine over the floor drain.
Turn off and it will defost over night.
Only specially made dehumidifers work below a room temo of 60 degrees (the temp of a basement in winter).
Does it need to be running? A digital humidity sensot from Radio Shack is cheap and may tell you the humidity is OK - only 50% or less.

The humidifier does not collect water at all

sounds like you may have a rusted evaporator coil and that has caused a freon leak.
it is very common on newer units as they are not made as well as they used to be.
when the coil rusts, it will cause the freon copper lines to leak the freon out and then without enough freon it will usually freeze over a few coils and eventually not take any water out of the air.
i would check to see if yours has an extended warranty and then contact the manufacturer to see if they can fix or replace the unit.

Adjusting dehumidifier on furnace

This model furnace does not come with a built in humidifier. Humidifiers are normally an optional add on. If you have a by-pass type humidifier it is none adjustable. Water level is normally float controlled and operation is control by blower circuit. When ever the blower runs the humidifier operates when in the heating mode.
