Sharp 46 aquos model LC46E77UN tv turned off power button just flashes on and off tried unplugging and waited an hour and replugged same conclusion power light just flashes

I have two 46" Sharp Aquos tvs,so i know this tv model well.Tv have Power and OPC LED lights flashes?Yes.Tries tv unplug,replug it back like about an hour later.The tv should be working again.This problems happen to Sharp tv alots,later on,should it happen again,just tries push the power switch on the remote again and wait the backlight will light up and tv will work again,some it will go back to Power and OPC LED lights flashes again,just push power switch again and wait,sometimes,u have to do this three or four tines to make the tv Tuner signal board to take to make the tv to work again.If u have to pushes power switches 10 or 11 times and wait and Power and OPC LED flashes lights again,it time to replace the tv Tuner signal board,that the board,where that take the tv incomming broadcasting signal cable plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish tv Tuner signal board for the replacement.

Power and OPC LED lights flashes?Common on Sharp LCD tv.Tv is still useable.Tv have Tuner signal board problems.Every times Power and OPC LED lights flashes.Just push the remote power button again and wait.Sometimes Power and OPC LED light will flashes require push power again wait again Power and OPC will flashes two or three time push power button and wait.Must do this two or three time before the backlight will light up and tv work.

I have a Sharp LCD 46 in.tv do this often.Yes,it is.This problems,the tv Tuner signal board have problem,but the tv is still useable.The POWER and OPC light indications flashes.Just push the power switch again,wait see tv turn,not POWER and OPC flashes again,push the power switch agian and wait.Have to do this like 3 or 4 times sometimes,than the tv backlight will come on,tv will work.Don't know but,if u require to pushing power button more 10 or 12 times,the tv Tuner signal board don't take an turn on the tv backlight get the tv to work.The Tuner signal board is dead,time to replaced the tv Tuner signal board.

Try unplug,replug tv about an hour later.The tv now resetting,itself back to factory setting.The tv should work now.Not,than the power supply board is dead.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Unplug it and wait 4 or 5 hours. The Glass+ should evaporate and there should be no damage done.

If the problem continues after waiting, you need to take the TV in for service.

Very comon with sharp aquos,try unplug,replug tries the power button on off couple time.Tv should work,don't than ur video backlight main board it dead.

Any indicator lights on, if it is then you only have the standby 5v circuit working, you will need to have the power supply check out first, that is a starting point.

Please pack the Sharp back into your car & get the money back. One thing I love about this website is how folks will talk about the historic/chronic problems of things. Don't even worry about fixing it. Run, don't walk, back to where you purchased it. Next, consult a "Consumer's Report" type of ezine & find a better model!!

How many times does the POWER led flash per second? (Dont worry about the OPC).

1x (steady constant blink) = Lamps or inverters
2x = Power Supply
3x = Main Unit

If i am reading it correctly, looks like the POWER led is flashing 2x, which means it is a power supply failure. Either way, your TV needs to have a board replaced, there isn't anything you can do to fix it yourself. Try locating your local sharp authorized service center to repair your TV (1-800-237-4277)
