if you like your micro fixe it, becouse even do new micros look better when it comes to work they suck they hardly last the warranty period thats if you are lucky...
low buzzing can be a power relay or a (solid-state) triac which both supply power in their own right to the power transformer to operate the magnetron tube,even though you say it quits cooking when you open the door,i would still check the micro-switches in the door for proper alignment and operation, because it can be a door switch mis-alignment or a leaking triac still supplying power to the unit
sounds like the magnetron is dead, cheaper to replace the microwave than get that part replaced unfortunately... unless you can find another of the same model (or compatible) for parts.
